Furcula is a collective work by composer Asger Baden and recording artist Peder whom on a daily basis work as film composers at their townhouse studio in central Copenhagen. Their music has been featured in numerous films and tv series and on many releases. “Breaking Bad“, “Beastie Boys“, “Wolfpack“ amongst others.
The music is based on the acoustic colours of two very different rooms: The Village (high end recording studio in Copenhagen) and Church og Our Lady - the biggest church in Denmark which features a reverb of over 7 seconds. All sounds, instruments and samples are recorded in these two rooms and used as samples in the studio to create the music.
This gives the listener the depth and contrast between the huge reverb and very close textures that feel as though they're right next to you, scratching your skin. The result is ghostly, dark, cinematic and beautiful.
